Margie Ree Taylor, age 87, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on October 16, 1923 in the Mill Creek community of McCreary County, KY to the late James Matt and Zella Goodin Ridner. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Victory. Mrs. Taylor loved to watch her hummingbirds and to garden. She enjoyed talking on the telephone with her family and friends. Mrs. Taylor was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Abie Taylor, whom she married on September 29, 1940 in Sawyer, KY; five sons, James (and Dorothy) Taylor, Billy (and Jeannie) Taylor, Wayne (and Dean) Taylor, Marshall (and Peggy) Taylor, and Eddie Dale (and Darlene) Taylor, all of Somerset; two daughters, Joyce (and Earl) Mounce and Debbie Helton, both of Somerset; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four step grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Smith of Somerset.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Maudie Fayrene Taylor; two brothers, Lloyd and Henry Ridner; four sisters, Lula Sloan, Gracie Bumgardner, Ola Toole, and Elizabeth Noe; and son-in-law, James Helton.

Graveside service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, April 15^th at the Mt. Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Victory, KY with Bro. Bob Goodin officiating.
