Monsa Belle Rowland, age 83, of Somerset, KY departed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at her home.

She was born on April 4, 1928 in Tariff, West Virginia to the late Rector and Eliza Lewis Rowe. She was a loving wife and mother and also a member of the Cumberland Church of Christ in Somerset.

Mrs. Rowland is survived by her husband, John Rowland, whom she married on July 5, 1950 in Columbus, OH; three sons, James Douglas Rowland of Cambridge, OH, Craig Anthony Rowland of Littleton, CO, and John Timothy (and Hope) Rowland of Somerset, KY; three daughters, Teresa (and Bruce)Whaley of Grove City, OH, Lesa (and Jeff)Lau of Indianapolis, IN, and Kriscille Crishbaum of Grove City, OH; seventeen grandchildren, Jason Rowland, Erin Taylor, Jessica Rowland, Chase Rowland, Amy Dearfield, Josh Pratt, Jeffrey Estep, Shawn Carte, Jonathan Carte, Justin Lau, Kristen Lau, Brandon Crishbaum, Zachary Crishbaum, Cole Rowland, Austin Rowland, J.P. Bryan, and Kristy Sturt; seven great grandchildren, Cody Dearfield, Devin Dearfield, Nevaeh Lau, Shopia Lau, Noah Dearfield, Brycen Taylor, and Corben Taylor; two brothers, John Rowe of Newton, WV and Basil Rowe of Columbus, OH; and five sisters, Wilma Strader of Springboro, OH, Ruth Dodd of Springboro, OH, Ruby Knight of Springboro, OH, Arneda Combs of Lonneyville, WV, and Mildred Roberts of Columbus, OH.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Wright and Dorothy Taylor.

Visitation for Mrs. Rowland will be Tuesday, April 12^th at 10:00 am at the Remembrance Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral service at 1:00 pm.  Bro. Ed Bialon will officiate. Interment will be at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
