Jeanette Everage Collins Bray, age 76
of Somerset, formerly of Knott County, departed this life
on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Somerset Nursing
& Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on March 24, 1935 in
Knott County, KY to the late Calloway and Orpha Gibson
Everage. She was a retired patient aide for Oakwood and a
member of Missionary Baptist Church in Blackey, KY but
attended the Denham Street Baptist Church in Somerset, KY.
Ms. Bray is survived by two sons,
Darrell (and Brenda) Collins of Lexington, KY and Dean
(and Sharon) Collins of Fort Worth, TX; a daughter, Donna
Collins of Somerset; two grandchildren, Shonda (and James)
Elliott and Johnnie (and Jenny) Thacker; five step
grandchildren, Lori (and John) Thornsberry, Stephen
(and Kelly) Gaunce, Daniel (and Angela) Neely, Christy
Neely, and Misty Neely; four great grandchildren, Ashley
Hall, Steven Hall, Brandon Garland, Jamie Elliott, and one
on the way; eight step great grandchildren, Ashley
Neely, Jeff Cline, Mariah Curry, Michael Curry, Travis
Schweighardt, Kasi Mullannix, Connor Gaunce, and Karsyn
Gaunce; and special friend, Mary Emerson.
Along with her parents, she was
preceded in death by a sister, Dottie Thacker.
Visitation for Ms. Bray will be on
Thursday, December 29th at 6:00 pm at Lake
Cumberland Funeral Home. 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be held on
Friday, December 30th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel
of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. J.S. New and Dr.
Greg Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the Quinton
Cemetery. Ms. Bray’s grandsons will serve as her
pallbearers.
