Sylvia “Sue” Walters, age 64, of Nancy, KY passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Ms. Walters was born in Wayne County, KY on September 25, 1946 to the late Lester Goodman and Lurrie West Luttrell. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading and working puzzles.

Ms. Walters is survived by two sons, Lane (& Lesa) Abner of Somerset, KY and James Walters Jr. of Somerset, KY; two daughters, Lora (& Tim) Mounce of Faubush, KY and Candy Baker of Nancy, KY; a brother, Onzie Goodman of Somerset, KY; two sisters, Norma Miller of Somerset, KY and Rita (& Tim) West of Muncie, IN; nine grandchildren, Jason Troxtell Abner, Jordan Effiner Abner, Josh Stringer, Kymber Stringer, Mariah Mounce Walters, Andrina Mounce Walters, Kassie Baker, Cody Abner, Hayley Mounce; and four great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; Roger Goodman; and her stepfather; Paul Luttrell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 22^nd at 12 Noon at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

Funeral services for Sylvia “Sue” Walters will be held on Tuesday, February 22^nd at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00pm with Dr. Greg Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
