Mary Francis Abbott, age 62 of Somerset, departed this life on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on May 31, 1947 in Somerset, KY, the daughter of Charles Edward and Lucy Marie Sawyer Haney. She was a housekeeper and member of the Gospel Tabernacle.

Mrs. Abbott is survived by her mother, Lucy Haney of Somerset; two daughters, Donna Griffis of Somerset and Michelle Renee Abbott of Somerset; a brother, Harold Haney of Somerset; two sisters, Grace Marie Smith of Somerset and Betty Jean Mounce of Somerset; her grandchildren, Chad Erick Worley, Desiree Cook, and Ethan Cole Abbott Foreman; and a great grandchild, Gracelynn Jo King.

Preceding her in death was father, Charles Edward Haney; two brothers, Kenneth Haney and Bernard Troy Haney; and three sisters, Ella Mae Mounce, Joyce Ann Mounce, and Sally Fayrene Haney.

Visitation for Mrs. Abbott will be Tuesday, February 23^rd at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with a funeral to follow at 1:00 pm. Bro. Jeff Phillips will officiate. Burial will in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, KY.
