Elsie Wilson, age 87, departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

She was born on September 28, 1922 in Sunshine, KY, the daughter of Hollie Amon and Ora Belle Perkins Meeks. She was a homemaker and the oldest charter member of New Life Mt. Assembly Church of God in Ferguson, KY. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed quilting, flowers, gardening, and her family.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her two sons, Delno Wilson Jr. of Somerset and Doyle Gene Wilson (and Judy) of Somerset; four daughters, Geraldine Coomer (and Joe) of Somerset, Lorene Hutcherson of Somerset, Glenda Muse (and Mike) of Ferguson, KY, and Katie Wilson of Ferguson, KY; a brother, Nathan Meeks (and Ruth) of Somerset; a sister, Lois King of Somerset; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Hollie and Ora Meeks; her husband, Delno Wilson, whom she married on July 6, 1937 in Russell Springs, KY; two sons, Ardis D. Wilson and Arless E. Wilson; two brothers, Lonnie and Eugene Meeks; a sister, Rosie Hughes; and a grandchild.

Visitation for Mrs. Wilson will be on Monday, February 22^nd at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 23^rd at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Levi Lainhart and Bro. David Muse officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, KY.
