"For my friend Denny, I cannot begin to express my heart-felt sympathy for you and your family!! The circumstances surrounding the way your father chose to leave, their are not many people (thank goodness) that ever endure a tragedy such as this.... however for me I totally relate to your pain and suffering, there are soooo many questions that you are left with that unfortunately will never be answered, this is just one of the things that is hard to accept!! My heart goes out to you, and I will always be here for you to help you in anyway possible. May God bring you comfort and peace, and when you think you cannot walk alone, God will pick you up and carry you, until you are able to walk alone!! By the grace of God, amazing family and friends, Ty and I continue to thrive by taking life one "minute at a time".... May God Bless You, Tamara & Ty Avera"

"Denny, I am so sorry for your loss.  You may not remember me, but we had a few classes together @ PC.  I met your dad in the mid 90's, when my husband & I rented one of the houses at E. Racetrack.  Sean & I really thought a lot of your dad.  He was always so much fun to be around.  (I never saw anyone wear their glasses on their forehead before and always teased him.) He & Sean would talk and talk about the feed company and mutual people they knew in Campbellsville.  We greatly admired and respected your dad and will always remember him.  You & your family are in our prayers during this difficult time"

"Dear Family: I am so sorry for your loss. It's your loss but Heaven's great gain. May the Good Lord give you strength and comfort during this time and in the days, months, and years ahead. I know what it's like to lose a loved one during the holiday season. Dr. Rodney, as you may recall, 15 years ago December 22nd I lost my Mother to cancer. She was one of your beloved patients. And on Christmas nite she was laid out at Nancy Funeral Home. I also remember our school days together and playing basketball, your family was there to cheer us on and give us support. I have many fond memories of that and will always cherrish that. We hate to see our loved ones go, but to know they are in Heaven and no longer suffering is the greatest thing. From my family to yours, you have our deepest sympathy and are in our many thoughts and prayers. May God Bless You All. From Jo Ann, Carlos, and family."

"To Denton's Family: My sister Kathy Jasper Weiler called me yesterday to tell me of Denton's death; they were classmates at Nancy (class of '66) and she had seen him at their class reunion this past October. She remembered him as very friendly and upbeat -- she repeated what he had said to her at the reunion -- very warm and positive!! I remember him as a funny little guy(I was three years ahead of them) in the hallway at NHS over 48 years ago!! He turned into a very handsome man, for sure!! My prayers and thoughts are with you; I haven't been able to get his death out of my mind since Kathy called yesterday. May God help you as you struggle to understand and grieve this awful loss. I will keep you in my prayers as the weeks and months go by. May you find strength, each in your own way. Sedahlia Jasper
