"Family,

With much sadness, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time!
"If a man die, shall he live again?" ask the man Job long ago (Job 14:14, King James Version) I know that grief can be great. Now is the time to let your memories of "Ann" that were made and shared keep her near. Jehovah God, with loving wisdom, will be there to guide you through; He will help you meet tomorrow and he will give you strength anew. (Acts 24:15)

Trust Him (Proverbs 3:5)"

"Terri,
Sorry for your loss. I will be praying for you and your family."

"Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.  It doesn't seem long ago that Burnita and I connected on facebook.  We shared a Dunbar memory.  I asked her if she remembered when the big girls (her) would come out at recess after lunch and play little Sally Walker with the little girls (me).  She let me know that was a priceless memory.  I will always treasure that conversation.  My prayer is that God will grant each of you the strength that you need to get through this most difficult time. Weeping endures only for a night, but joy comes in the morning. God bless each and everyone of you.

Sincerely, Marcia Cunningham Masterson"

"Dawnita and Family,

Burnita is my connection to my extended family here in Maryland, the Dupree’s Kenan,
Otis Jr. and Janice.  I love them and love her too. She cared enough to be a friend to me when others would not.  She spoke highly of her family and of you her daughter. I have never been to Somerset Kentucky but know as much about it as anyone there does because she spoke of her hometown often and of the community. I will truly miss this wonderful soul.  She was good to me and many others and will be missed by us all.  I love you Burnita rest in peace.

PS every time I eat a chicken wing I will think of you and your favorite part…flats is what Burnita called her favorite part of the wing!!"

"My sympathy and prayers are with your family.  I have fond memories of working with Burnita in Falls Church VA.  She had a great sense of humor, a generous heart and a willingness to share her knowledge on whatever subject.  I think back to taking a walk with her one evening and having ice cream after..I smile because we were walking to lose weight.  Your Mother paid for our ice cream and I only say that to show that generous side of her could not be contained.  Her love of wings was well known in our little Falls Church circle.."bird" she called it.  Again I am smiling with the thought of her munching at the desk across from mine.  We would share coversation over lunch outside and talk about our familys.  I felt a connection when we talked about our daughters..the love was evident for her family from those talks. There are so few truly generous hearted people..Burnita was one..and she will be missed.  May your God sustain you through this time."

"We were saddened to hear of the homegoing of Burnita Ann.  But, "We know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down, we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.  (2 Corinthians 5:1).

We are sorry that we cannot be there with you. May you be comforted by these words, as we extend our deepest sympathy, love and prayers to the entire family.
