Howard L. Calhoun, age 73 of Somerset, departed this life on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at his home.

He was born on October 10, 1938 in Somerset, KY to the late Ingram Foster and Arley Calhoun Clines. He was a farmer and worked for a special friend, Glenn Trimble. Mr. Calhoun was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Calhoun is survived by his wife, Lois Trimble Calhoun, whom he married on September 24, 1977 in Somerset; two stepsons, Robert J. Ping of LaGrange, KY and Thomas E. Ping of Somerset; and three grandchildren, Brittany Ping, Elizabeth Blankenship, and Kortni Ping.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Clines.

Visitation for Mr. Calhoun will be Wednesday, January 4^th at 9:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Bro. David Green will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Nancy, KY.
