James
Hensley, age 59, of Somerset passed away Tuesday, June 3,
2008 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Mr.
Hensley was born in Highland, KY on February 17, 1949 to
Nancy Hoskins McAninch, Poplarville Community and the late
Bennie Hensley. He enjoyed Nascar, fishing and was of the
Baptist faith.
Mr.
Hensley is survived by his wife, Linda Smith Hale Hensley
whom he married April 8, 1999 in London, KY; his mother,
Nancy Hoskins McAninch & step-father Carnell McAninch,
Poplarville Community; 2 sons, James & Kenna Hensley
II, Lancaster, KY, Jason & Amanda Hensley, Russell
Springs; a step-son, Robert Massengill, Somerset; 2 step
daughters, Sheri & Richard Sears, Lisa & Lige
Stearns, both of Poplarville Community; 3 brothers, Bennie
& Francis Hensley, Somerset, George & Shelia
Hensley, Burgin, KY, Wayne & Mary Hensley, Poplarville,
KY; a sister, Alice & Phil Clark, Danville, KY; 4
step-sisters, Judy & Lyndell Sims, Kings Mountain,
Jean & Freddie Padgett, Waynesburg, Rita & Douglas
Slone, Waynesburg, Carnetta Collins, Waynesburg; 10
grandchildren, Michael Hensley, James Hensley III, Stacy
Hutchins, Marina Sears, Chase Hensley, Erin Hensley,
Brandon Massengill, Isaac Stearns, Heather Stearns, Amber
Stearns and 2 great grandchildren, Jarod Hutchins,
Makenzie Hutchins.
Along
with his father, Bennie Hensley, he is preceded in death
by a brother, Mark Allen Hensley and an infant sister, Sue
Hensley.
Funeral
services for James Hensley will be held on Thursday, June
5, 2008 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at
1:00 pm with Bro Steve Sutton officiating. Interment will
follow in the Peck Cemetery in Lincoln County.
Visitation
will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at the
Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
