Delpha Chaney Turner was born March 13, 1924 to the late Ottis and Florence Randall Chaney.  She passed from this life to her heavenly home on March 21, 2012 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Ms. Turner spent most of her life in the Ano Community.  She was a lifetime member of Clifty Grove Baptist Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, raising a garden and quilting. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Florence Randall Chaney.  Delpha was the sister to Orpha Chaney, Ila Chaney and Jewell Chaney, who all preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nancy Gail Hyden and a great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Turner.

She is survived by her children, Roger Chaney (and wife Regina) of Mt. Victory, KY, Tommy Turner (and wife Donna) of Ano, KY, Dennis Turner of Somerset and Doug Turner (and wife Sara) of Science Hill, KY, Peggy Hyden (and husband Everett) of Mt. Victory, KY.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren who were the light of her life, Kathy Cook, Roger Dale Chaney, Jaime Chaney, Chris Turner, Nicole Blevins, Brent Turner, Luke Turner, Stevie Hyden and Scottie Hyden.  She is also survived by great grandchildren Kody Cook, Brittany and Lexie Chaney, Blake Turner, Allie and Addison Blevins, Kailey and Easton Turner, Landon Stevens, Alexander and Ethan Hyden and Gage Jones.

Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2012 after 5:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 W. Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Dwight Bullock officiating.  Burial will be in the Chaney Cemetery in Ano, Kentucky.
