Revonda Johnson Greene, age 80, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on September 21, 1930 in Newland, NC to the late Hardy and Tishie McKinney Johnson. She was a retired employee of Gordon Garments Company in Bristol, TN and attended the West Somerset Baptist Church.

Mrs. Greene is survived by a son, Garry (and Joyce) Greene of Somerset, KY; a grandchild, Gary Anthony Greene of Somerset, KY; three great grandchildren, Raymond, Revonda, and Varl Lee; two step grandchildren, Danny Lee (and Tabby) Picard of Somerset, KY and Pamela Jean Picard of Somerset, KY; two step great grandchildren, Carolina and Lucas; and special friends, Linda and Jerry Gibson, Jean Smith, and Bro. Larry Butte.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Varl Greene, whom she married on April 14, 1949 in Newland, NC; six brothers, Herb Johnson, Gern Johnson, Jack Johnson, John Johnson, Mac Johnson, and Colonel Johnson; and three sisters, Dorata Long, Sylvia Johnson, and Della Buchanan.

Visitation for Mrs. Greene will be Monday, March 28^th after 6:00 pm at  Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29^th at 10:00 am with Bro. Larry Butte and Bro. James Barleston officiating.  A private interment will be held at a later date at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
