Roy “Duck” Kidd, age 61 of the Burnside community, departed this life on Monday, May 9, 2011.

He was born on September 4, 1949 in the Quinton community of Pulaski County to the late Willie and Haley Phillips Kidd.  He worked for Don Molden Pipe & Supply Co. and was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Kidd enjoyed bingo and fishing.

Mr. Kidd is survived by his wife, Edna Loveless Kidd of Burnside, KY; a daughter, Susan (and Billy) Stigall of the Meadow Creek community of Wayne County, KY; four grandchildren, Brittany Stigall, Billy (and Alicia) Stigall, Jr., Matthew Hollis and Lindsay; one great grandchild, Makiy Chowning; a brother, James (and Geraldine) Kidd of Somerset; and  two sisters, Effie Theus of Gainesville, FL and Elaine Kidd of Tateville, KY.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Kidd; seven brothers, Homer, Wendell, Rufus, Sammy, Estes, Jessie and Earnie Kidd; four sisters, Ruthie Morrow, Elsie Kidd, Pearl Lovett and Mary Phillips. 

Visitation for Mr. Kidd will be held on Wednesday, May 11th at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12th at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Ron Shaw officiating.  Burial will be in the Quinton Cemetery in Bronston, KY.
