Carol Dean Vanover,
age 65 of Somerset, KY departed this life on Friday, April
29, 2011 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on
December 20, 1945 in Hyden, KY to Anna Lee Collins Miller
and the late J.C. Miller. Mrs. Vanover was a retired
merchandiser for American Greetings Cards. She was a good
cook and loved to crochet and quilt. Mrs. Vanover was an
amazing mother and grandmother and loved spending time on
the lake with family. She was a member of the Victory
Christian Fellowship in Somerset and held a strong belief
in God and family.
Mrs. Vanover is
survived by her mother, Anna Lee Collins Miller of
Somerset; husband, William Vanover III, whom she married
on April 29, 1967 in Hyden, KY; a son, William (and
Kimberly) Vanover IV of Concord, NC; a daughter, Mimi
Hoskins of Danville, KY; four grandchildren, Heather Reena
Hill of Somerset; William Vanover V of Concord, NC, Summer
Vanover and Joshua Vanover, both of Concord, NC; two
brothers, Robert Boyd Miller of Halls Gap, KY and Jay (and
Ann) Miller of Somerset; and three sisters, Brenda (and
Jesse) Reed of Somerset, KY, Linda (and Bill) Inabnitt of
Shopville, KY, and Penny (and Anthony Wayne) Wooten of
Hyden, KY.
Visitation for Mrs.
Vanover will be Monday, May 2nd at 11:00 am at
the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her
funeral service at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mark Harrell will
officiate. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial
Gardens.
