Helen
Eileen Reichard, age 85 of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on
Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at her daughter’s residence.
She
was born on August 25, 1926 in Londonderry, Ireland to the late Sarah
McBride Gillespie. Mrs. Reichard was a professional singer.
Mrs.
Reichard is survived by a son, Brian (and Sarah) Reichard of Seattle,
Washington; a daughter, Dympna (and Dr. Shahrookh) Bakhshay of Somerset,
KY; one grandchild, Perrine Bakhshay of Los Angeles, CA; one great
grandchild, Shirin Bakhshay of San Francisco, CA; and a sister, Mary
Hindmarsh of London, England.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Reichard, whom she married
August 17, 1945.
Visitation
will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Kentucky
with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 pm. Father
Bruce Swinehart will officiate.
