Mrs.
Tamara “Tammy” Lynn Goodin, age 47, of Somerset,
passed from this life into her Heavenly home on Sunday,
August 3, 2008 embraced by her family and friends.
She
was born on February 15, 1961 in Somerset to Bro. Elmo E.
and Roberta Mitchell Mounce. She was a homemaker, graduate
of the Norwood High School Class of 1980, and member of
the Acorn Baptist Church. Tammy accepted Jesus as her
personal Savior at a young age and was faithful to the
Lord and her church until her passing. She was a witness
and inspiration to all who knew her. Throughout her long
illness her faith never wavered in her Heavenly Father.
Tammy
is survived by her parents, Bro. Elmo and Roberta Mounce
of the Piney Grove community; her husband, Paul Goodin,
whom she married on October 7, 1988 at the Love Divine
Baptist Church in Somerset; a brother, Rick L. (and Donna)
Mounce of Norwood, OH; a sister, Teresa G. (and John)
Inabnitt of Somerset; her father and mother-in-law,
Clarence and Beulah Goodin, who have been a wonderful
friend and great help to Tammy; two brothers-in-law, David
(and Kim) Goodin and Tommy Goodin; a sister-in-law, Lisa
(and Austin) Sears, all of Somerset. Many nieces, nephews,
cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends to mourn her passing
survive Tammy. Tammy was a loving aunt and who took great
pride in showing pictures of all her family to everyone.
Preceding
her in death were her maternal grandparents, Grayson C.
and Wanda Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Eli and Lillian
Mounce; and a great niece, Jessica Goodin.
Visitation
will be Tuesday, August 5th from 5- 9 pm at
Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Funeral
service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th
at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home
with Bro. David Dykes and Bro. Vestal Meece officiating.
Burial will follow in the Malvin Hill Cemetery.
